About the Federal Road Safety Corps

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) is a para-military organization and the lead agency responsible for road safety administration and traffic management in Nigeria. The Corps is committed to reducing road crashes, improving highway safety, enforcing traffic regulations, and promoting safer road use across the country.

As part of its effort to strengthen its workforce and continue building a world-class organization, FRSC is inviting applications from suitably qualified Nigerians for appointment into various cadres.

Important Notice

The FRSC 2026 Recruitment Exercise is completely free. Applicants are not required to pay any fee at any stage of the recruitment process.

Available Categories

Officer Cadre

1. Superintendent Route Commander (SRC) — CONPASS 11

Qualification:

  • Applicants must possess a first degree in MBBS/MBCHB from recognized institutions.
  • Must possess NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
  • Applicants must not be less than 18 years or more than 35 years of age.

2. Route Commander / Deputy Route Commander (RC/DRC) — CONPASS 10/09

Qualification:

  • Applicants must possess a first degree in any of the following:
    • B.Pharm
    • B.Sc Nursing
    • BMLS
    • LLB/BL
    • B.Eng/B.Tech in Engineering courses
  • Must possess NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
  • Applicants must not be less than 18 years or more than 35 years of age.

3. Assistant Route Commander (ARC) — CONPASS 08

Qualification:

  • Applicants must possess B.Sc, BA, or HND from recognized institutions.
  • Must possess NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
  • Applicants must not be less than 18 years or more than 35 years of age.

Marshal Inspectorate Cadre

Marshal Inspector II & III (MI-II & MI-III) — CONPASS 07 & 06

Qualification:

  • Applicants must possess any of the following from recognized institutions:
    • NCE
    • ND/OND
    • RN/RM
    • CHEW
  • Applicants must not be less than 18 years or more than 30 years of age.

Road Marshal Assistant Cadre

1. Road Marshal Assistant II & III (RMAII & RMAIII) — CONPASS 04 & 03

Qualification:

  • Applicants must possess a minimum of three credit passes in SSCE, including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Accepted examinations include GCE, WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB.
  • Results must not be from more than two sittings.
  • Applicants must not be less than 18 years or more than 30 years of age.

2. Drivers, Riders and Artisans

Applications are also open for candidates in skilled trade roles such as:

  • Computer Operators
  • Drivers
  • Mechanics
  • Motorcycle Riders
  • Electricians
  • Instrumentalists
  • Tailors
  • Plumbers
  • Other relevant trades

Requirements for Drivers, Riders and Artisans

Applicants must possess:

  • A minimum of three credit passes in SSCE, GCE, WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB.
  • Trade Test certificate and/or other relevant professional certificates where applicable.
  • Appropriate class of valid Driver’s Licence for drivers and motorcycle riders.
  • Physical and mental fitness.
  • Articulated truck drivers must be between 26 and 40 years of age.

General Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be Nigerian by birth.
  • Be computer literate.
  • Possess a valid National Driver’s Licence. This is an added advantage for all cadres.
  • Ensure that all certificates and qualifications are declared and presented at the point of recruitment.
  • Note that undeclared qualifications will not be accepted for future career progression in the Corps.
  • Be medically fit and present a certificate of medical fitness issued by an approved government hospital.
  • Be single.
  • Have a minimum height of 1.65 metres for males and 1.58 metres for females.
  • Possess current practising licences where applicable for medical and allied professional disciplines.
  • Lawyers must have been called to the Nigerian Bar.
  • Be of good character.
  • Be free from financial indebtedness.
  • Must not have been convicted of any criminal offence.
  • Must not have tattoos on any part of the body.
  • Use a personal email address and phone number when submitting the application.
  • Pregnant applicants are advised not to apply.

Applications must be submitted online through the official FRSC recruitment portal.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to present printed copies of their application forms during the screening exercise.
