Role Description
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cybersecurity GRC Officer (NYSC) to support our Information Security team in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) activities.
- The role focuses on cybersecurity documentation, policy management, compliance monitoring, audit support, risk assessments, and ISO standards implementation while providing exposure to broader cybersecurity operations.
Key Responsibilities of the NYSC Cybersecurity Officer at Mitiget Assurance and Technology Services Limited
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and maintaining information security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Support compliance initiatives related to ISO 27001 and other relevant cybersecurity frameworks.
- Maintain cybersecurity documentation, risk registers, asset registers, and compliance records.
- Support internal and external audit activities, including evidence gathering and remediation tracking.
- Assist in cybersecurity risk assessments and risk treatment processes.
- Prepare compliance reports, dashboards, and management updates.
- Support security awareness and training initiatives.
- Monitor compliance with information security policies and controls.
- Assist in vendor security assessments and third-party risk reviews.
- Support vulnerability management, incident documentation, and security governance activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- B.Sc./HND in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Currently serving NYSC Corps Member.
- Strong documentation, report-writing, and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance principles.
- Familiarity with ISO standards, audit processes, and information security policies is an advantage.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts such as:
- Vulnerability Management
- Security Incident Management
- Access Control & Identity Management
- Network Security Fundamentals
- Data Protection & Privacy
- Security Awareness & Training
- Risk Assessment & Risk Management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
Added Advantage
- Knowledge of ISO 27001, ISO 22301, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, or similar frameworks.
- Relevant certifications or training such as ISC2 CC, ISO 27001 Foundation, CompTIA Security+, Google Cybersecurity Certificate, or Microsoft Security Certifications.
- Experience with compliance documentation, audit support, risk registers, ticketing systems, or security tools.
